Community to observe Memorial Day May 26 with a parade and program

The Community of Frankenmuth will observe Memorial Day 2025 on Monday, May 26, featuring a parade and program.

The parade is organized by the Frankenmuth American Legion Post #150 and Frankenmuth VFW Post #2725. The parade participants will include the Frankenmuth Police and Fire departments, Legion Honor Guard, marching Legion and VFW , and those veterans choosing to ride on a flatbed trailer, the Memorial Day address speaker, U.S. Army veteran Jason Christianson, the Frankenmuth High School Marching Band, Blue Star Families, and Boy and Girl Scout troops.

Matt Ellis is the current Post #150 commander.

The parade will organize at the American Legion Post #150 at Flint and West Jefferson Streets, and will step off at the corner of West Jefferson and South Main streets. The parade line up will travel north on Main Street, pause at the Veterans Monument and Memorial Wall at Main and Tuscola streets for a brief ceremony, then continue north on Main Street, then east of School Street, north on Parker Street, then end in the FHS west parking lot. ...
